Shane received The Coach's Award in 1999, where his team was 2nd in District and 3rd in state. Shane led Mariner H.S. in assists and steals. Shane finished his playing career at Western Washington University playing football.

Currently he is the head defensive coach at Monroe High School in Monroe, Washington, but basketball will always be in his heart. His knowledge for the game of basketball in astounding.
