Forest played high school basketball at Garfield High School in 2000, and at Mariner High School from 2001 to 2003. He has an impressive win lose percentage in high school going 63-14 through out his career.

He played college at the Division 2 and 3 levels for Bethany College in Kansas and Keuka College in New York. He also plays in ProAm baketball leagues throughout Seattle.
